Una passeggiata fuori dagli schemi alla scoperta degli angoli nascosti del Borgo di Castelnuovo Valdicecina.

Castelnuovo Val di Cecina, circondato da folti boschi di castagno, è situato in posizione panoramica, sullo spartiacque tra la Valle del Cecina e quella del Cornia. Il suggestivo borgo medievale a forma di pigna è arroccato sulla collina e conserva intatto l’antico impianto urbanistico dominato dalla chiesa del Santissimo Salvatore che sorge dove si ergeva l’antico castello.
Con le sue viuzze strette e tortuose, lastricate di pietra, gli archi, i piccoli chiassi, le porte medievali e gli scorci sulla vallata, il borgo assume un aspetto quasi magico che offre quiete e tranquillità a chiunque lo visiti.

A unusual hike to discover the hidden corners of the village of Castelnuovo Valdicecina.

Castelnuovo Val di Cecina, surrounded by thick chestnut woods, is situated in a panoramic position, on the watershed between the Cecina Valley and the Cornia Valley. The suggestive medieval village in the shape of a pine cone is perched on the hill and preserves intact the ancient urban layout dominated by the church of the Santissimo Salvatore which stands where the ancient castle stood. With its narrow, winding streets, paved with stone, arches, small noise, medieval doors and views of the valley, the village takes on an almost magical appearance that offers peace and tranquility to anyone who visits it.
